Asturias attracts investment and highly skilled talent in the ICT sector

Several foreign ICT companies recently established in Asturias are committed to hiring highly qualified talent in this sector

Asturias is consolidating its position as a pole of attraction for investment with great potential in areas such as Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Several companies with foreign capital recently established in our region are committed to recruiting highly qualified talent in this sector.

The Investment Attraction Strategy is the public-private collaboration tool promoted by the Government of Asturias and coordinated by the Economic Development Agency of the Principality of Asturias (IDEPA). It has already facilitated the arrival in our region of the companies Mind Facilities Management, Bedrock Intelligence Group, TEAM EQ, Preco, Sea Eight, Indaer, TSFOT, Sialtrónica, Quirónsalud, Crimtan and NuevaRed Global.

The strategy has attracted an investment volume of around 200 million euros, with an estimated 720 jobs, most of them highly qualified in the ICT, engineering, and health sectors. Six of the projects are related precisely to ICT.

The ICT sector in Asturias, a lever for other economic sectors

The Information and Communication Technologies sector will be a lever in Asturias for many other sectors that require increasing connectivity throughout the territory and which are a source of quality employment and activities with high added value.

Many companies in the sector have recently established remote or flexible working policies, allowing them to access global talent and reduce operating costs. Companies adopting this approach can benefit from the creativity and innovation brought by digital nomads, who are used to different cultures and ways of working.

The investment attraction strategy also involves the Chambers of Commerce of Asturias, the Asturian Federation of Entrepreneurs (FADE) and the organizations Compromiso Asturias XXI and Asturias Power.
