Medichem sets up in Asturias within the framework of the Investment Attraction Strategy promoted by the Regional Ministry of Industry.
The Investment Attraction Strategy promoted by the Regional Ministry of Industry has led the company Medichem Solutions, part of Corporación Medichem, to set up in Asturias. The company plans to start up a plant to manufacture injectable products for the pharmaceutical sector, with an investment of more than 16 million euros, and the staggered incorporation of up to 30 professionals as production progresses.
The Regional Minister of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion, Enrique Fernández, took part in the presentation of the project together with the Director General of IDEPA, Eva Pando, and Elisabeth Stampa, a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
The company will be located in the Technology Park of Asturias, in Llanera, in the building formerly occupied by Tecsolpar. The plant will be refurbished and will undergo the certification processes of the European and international health authorities to bring production into line with pharmaceutical sector standards. The company expects to have the facility operational by 2024.
Enrique Fernández expressed his satisfaction with Medichem’s announcement and the work carried out by IDEPA for the implementation of this company in Asturias. He also welcomed the fact that another company has placed its trust in the region to expand its activities, which reaffirms the multiple attractions of the Principality for the development of new business projects.
The pharmaceutical company Medichem Solutions has considered for its installation in Asturias the innovation ecosystem of the Technology Park, which constitutes a privileged environment.
